Job hunting!!!!

Why is it so hard to get a job???? Look everywhere, drop off c.v's, just not having luck! All I need is a few hours a day during the week and I'm laughing. *Touch wood* for Blockbuster to be in touch. Would like a a job sorting out films and computer games.

On the plus side, a couple of films I sent off for processing has been returned. Some nice photo's, some I wish I had taken better and some photo opportunities I wish I had taken.

View from our bedroom window, shot on some Fuji Sensia film that has been cross processed.

Had an amazing time at Goodwood Festival of Speed. Ultimate car heaven!!! Think I need to go on a weekend though, not a Thursday. Thursday was more of a buyers sort of day. They allow potential buyers of new cars to experience the thrill of going up the hill and get a feel for their potential purchase. Unfortunately, I'm no where near rich enough to afford any new car, let alone the Ferrari's, Porsche's, Audi's and Mercedes' cars that where strutting their stuff up the 1.16 mile catwalk (thank you Wikipedia for the info) Saw one of my dream, and hopefuly future cars in their rally, group B, form. The classic that is a Lancia Delta Integrale....

I want!!!!!!

And here's a sexy Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster approaching the top of the hill.
Overall, an awesome day and definitely doing next year....

With the Euro's over and a dominant display by the Spanish, all focus now shifts to the tennis, and whether Andy Murray can finally do it, win Wimbledon. He has a good chance, he' playing good, Nadal is out. He should make the final with a defeat over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, which is achievable, it could be a good Sunday. Fingers-crossed.

Not long until the Olympics in case you haven't heard, and I'm really looking forward to Team GB playing a game of the old foot and ball! As a proud Welshman, I can't wait for our 5 guys to show up the rest of the team!! HA! Giggs and Bellamy finally get the chance to win something and the experience Ramsey, Allen and Taylor will gain will be amazing. For some people to say Welsh players shouldn't be there is disgraceful and disrespectful, and that type of support is terrible towards the deserving 5 Welsh players. They have a chance to be part of something big and historical and all people can say is 'How dare they!' I only wish Bale was fit enough to be part of the team, and it's such a shame he'll be missing out. I think we should have a Team GB that plays an even more active role than just the Olympics. When it comes to Rugby Union we have the British and Irish Lions, what's the problem with a Team GB football squad. Would be amazing if a GB team did a small tour over the summer.

Can't believe it took me so long to write up my blog, lasted the whole of 24 hours in A&E and Big Brother ( I know I watch rubbish. I'm a sucker for trashy t.v) WOW!

Till next time.....

Here I am!!!!

Been quiet for the past week or so, sorry if it left you wanting more, but it's been a busy one. One that included taking on a new baby....
mmmmm... Cucumber!
going to a wedding.....
Congratulations Helen and Antony.
watching the demise of England's hopes of winning Euro 2012, and trying out a new fitness regime.

Sooo, where to start.... we have our new pet, as previously mentioned, Dangermouse. We drove, well I drove, to the flexibly named village of Rubery, just outside Birmingham to collect this terror. Whilst there me, the Deb's and her sister Sarah, went vintage shopping in and around B'ham. Visiting such places like COW vintage, near the Bullring, Ooooh!, the Custard Factory down the road and Top Banana where I got some smart vintage shoes for the wedding. Wedding went of without a hitch thankfuly and every one enjoyed the day from what I can tell. One drunk lady seemed to single me out and announce to the rest of the party I bear the likeness of one Johnny Depp! :S I struggle to see it, but she some how did. It most only be a compliment I'm sure though.

Watched the new Muppets movie on the weekend too, can see why Bret McKenzie won an oscar, a genius comic songwriter! It's an awesome film and up there with awesome kid films like Toy Story, How to train your dragon and Goonies. I really enjoy kids films, especialy when there are jokes aimed at adults in them.

I've now started a new "Treasure" Hunt, I'm trying to keep my eye out for road signs with animals on them, If any one comes across any, please add.  http://www.flickr.com/photos/matt-g88/sets/72157630297078978/

With England out of the Euro's, Britain now turns it's attention to Wimbledon and places its hopes on Murray's first tournament trophy. It will be hard for him, but we hope anyway.

This Thursday, if all goes to plan, I will be attending this years Festival of Speed at Goodwood, so my camera's will follow me and hopefully get some nice photo's of some fast cars! :D Can't wait.

Well, I think I've remembered my previous, did the usual apply for jobs so hopefully I'll have a job sorted out sooner rather than later.

Till' next time..... BYE!

Today, I lost part of a friend!

The time has come, it's the summer, end of uni, and I must step up and be useful. I must get a job! It may be the start of the summer, but it has come to the end, ish, for my 2 year relationship with my beard to cut, or trim, down. In my quest for a job, plus various other occasions like weddings to attend, I decided I must neaten up my face :( This was one of the hardest decisions I can take but it must happen if I'm to succeed in getting myself a job!

Before.......and after!

Much neater and airy now. Will be sorely missed though. R.I.P Beard!

Now on to greater and bigger things. Me and Debbie are going to become Parents!!!! :O We're adopting a little terror called Dangermouse, the Russian dwarf hamster. He was bought as a pair with Penfold, but he's got a bit of a dominating streak in him and has tried to hurt Penfold. So, in the interest in the health of Penfold, he's moving south from Birmingham way to Kingston.

Bye bye for now.

Freecycle, What a saviour!!!!

I can't explain how amazing freecycle/freegle and any other freebie websites are! Since moving into our new flat, me and the Deb's have had so many nice things from kind and generous people. Prize freebies have to be our exquisite, I personally hate the to use the word, 'shabby chic' white desk that the girlfriend uses, and for me it has to be some snazzy new shoes. Not for me though, for my car. Goodbye rubbish 14" steels, hello snazzy Golf 15" Alloys! Not had the chance to put them on the car yet, need to mess around with it first and clean them up but once done, picture will be uploaded.

My wheels from freecycle, and the 'shabby chic' table.

What a day it's been in the sport side of things, Wales lost to the Wallabies :( the World cup runners up lost to one of the underdogs with a bit of a lucky goal, Germany beat Portugal in an average match but Red Bull, despite making changes that would in theory, slow their car down, still allowed Vettel to be 0.3s quicker!!! Amazing! So far, been one fairly exciting weekend of sport.

Went to Surbiton this morning with the film camera, loaded with some slide film that I'm going to get cross processed. Took some photo's of the Art Deco style train station, some murals and wall paintings that are around the area too. These will be uploaded once the film is finished and sorted.

Alot to say this time,

Till next time :)

It's not sick, honest!

Wow! What a jubilee weekend. Unfortunately, weather wasn't great. Explored the area round our new-ish flat. Not very eventful. On the plus side, my beautiful girlfriend was busy one night and produced some of her lovely fudge. No pun intended, proper, edible, sugar and condensed milk fudge, with little bits of white chocolate.

It's a lot more appetizing than it looks.

We went and did our usual weekend adventure, of visitng a boot sale, bought nothing, the rain was wayyyy too much. The girlfriend is getting to work on her crafty things she's going to start selling and I got hooked on one of the greatest game series to ever exist, the metal gear solid games!  So overall fairly quiet weekend, hopefully this weekend will be a step up, sport weekend! Euro 2012 kicks off and the Canadian Grand Prix, hopefully another amazing show by Button is on the cards, touch wood it's epic as last time.

Talking of cars, a service of my car is due. Parts need removing and fitting, so that's my job for the week. Going to be a fun few days.

Till next time.

Numero uno! First! The big bang of posts!

I've finally gone and made a blog. This is gonna be a collection of anything and everything, and some photo's I decide are decent enough to share with the world. First photo I've uploaded is my background. Hope it's pleasing to the eye. It's shot on my Diana.
